Social Program

First, some tips if you want to explore Berlin on your own. Looking for evening entertainment you may study the offers by Berlin Tourismus Marketing of follow the suggestions by Sonja Waldhausen and Tobias Gänzler:

Here you find tables listing their favorite suggestions of evening entertainment for the first weekend and for Tuesday till Friday.

Participants staying in Berlin on the weekend after the conference and looking for suggestions are welcome to asking Tobias Gänzler directly.

Sunday, July 20th, 2003     7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Get-together Party

Free admission for all participants of the DD15 conference !!! Enjoy relaxed registration on Sunday (5 p.m.-7.pm.) followed by a nice party.


Tuesday, July 22nd, 2003      7.30 a.m. - 8.30 a.m. and
Thursday, July 24th, 2003      7.30 a.m. - 8.30 a.m.

Guided Conference Run

For those who like to warm up for mathematics by gently running a distance of 8 or 10 kilometers we offer a guided conference run through the Grunewald. Runners meet at the communication tent on the conference campus.

Locker rooms and showers are available at ZIB. After the workout there should be time enough for a croissant and cup of coffee in the environment before the day begins...

For those younger participants who want to spend a night out to remember, we are planning to guide you through Berlin's nightlife on Wednesday or Thursday.

Conference Dinner

On Thursday evening, the conference dinner takes place at the conference site. It will be an open air barbecue featuring meat as well as vegetarian food and starts at 7 p.m.
