Accommodations
A block of en-suite single rooms has been reserved for participants from the nights of July 19th to July 23rd (check out on July 24th before 12:00) at the Avery Hill Village, Southwood Site, Avery Hill Campus, Avery Hill Road, Eltham, London SE9. Each room has a single bed, a shower, toilet facilities and a fridge. These are high quality accommodation specifically built for the Avery Hill Conference Centre and for the University to use as halls of residence. Four to six en-suite single rooms form a flat which consists of a large communal and kitchen area that has a kettle and a microwave cooker. Conference participants and their accompanying persons who have registered with the Conference can be accommodated in adjacent rooms in a flat.

There are no hotels within walking distance from the Conference Centre. We strongly recommend Conference Participants to take accommodation at the Avery Hill Student Village.

Costs: £45 per person, per night, inclusive of breakfast and dinner.

Note:It is possible to extend your stay at the Avery Hill Student Village for nights before July 19th or after July 23rd, but breakfast or dinner will not be available. The room charge per person per night is £33. There are cafeteria/fast food shops next to the campus and restaurants located in New Eltham which is 10 minutes walk from the campus.

Hotels
The local organisers have also blocked a limited number of single and double rooms at the Clarendon Hotel, Montpelier Row, Blackheath, London SE3 0RW. The hotel is approximately 4 miles from the Conference Centre. You may wish to make your bookings and to settle your bill with the Hotel directly by tel: +44 181 318 4321 or fax: +44 181 318 4378. The price per night as quoted in early 1998 for the Conference period is £51.50 for a single room and £72 for a double room.
